Patricia's main interest is portraiture of both people and animals. She tries to capture their true personality and souls with accurate drawing and painting.

Patricia's  interest in the "Old Masters'" techniques are represented in most of her paintings. This technique involves several academic steps. Drawing is the very first step and one which is most important as the subject matter has to be drawn in detail in the correct scale, proportion and perspective. Secondly, the drawing is then painted as an underpainting called, "Verdaccio," (an Italian term which means the painting is painted in different shades/tones of green to establish the painting's values.) These various values creates volume and depth. The third step is glazing, which adds color to the background and clothes. Finally, the skin and hair are painted in oil, completing the fourth step. This technique has been used by the European artists throughout the 13th thru to the 17th century.

Patricia offers Giclee's for all of her "Reproductions." Giclee, (zhee-clay), is a French noun for a process of making Fine Art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. This allows her to keep or sell the original painting and still be able to offer the painting to the public at a reasonable cost.

Her graphites are copies on archival papers.

Both Giclees and copies are available in different sizes.

If you wish a commission, she is glad to work with you. Please just contact her for pricing and details.
